It features 100% synthetic media with an additional antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. The design allows heavier particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats while keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter is moisture resistant, has an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, and a low initial pressure drop.
