The pleated air filter is designed to effectively remove airborne irritants in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial applications, including offices, retail, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare environments such as doctor offices and hospitals. It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The design of the pleated filters allows for the accumulation of heavier particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, thereby keeping the sides open longer for enhanced filtration. This results in low resistance, which improves airflow and can significantly reduce energy costs. The filter is also beneficial for achieving points in USGBC-LEED certification projects, offering a low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency over two times greater than traditional cotton poly, with an initial efficiency of greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles.
