The pleated design traps heavier and more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, while keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and potentially reduces energy costs. This filter supports USGBC-LEED certification points, has a low initial pressure drop, and its initial efficiency exceeds 74% on 1-3 micron particles, which is more than twice that of traditional cotton poly filters. The media is moisture resistant and synthetic for durability.
