The pleated air filter is designed for use in HVAC units in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare environments including doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features 100% synthetic media with an added antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, which results in low initial pressure drop and improved airflow that can help reduce energy costs. The media is moisture-resistant, provides an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, and offers initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton-poly media. This filter can contribute to USGBC-LEED certification points.
