The pleated air filter is designed for use in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare environments such as doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features 100% synthetic media with an added antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats while keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves air flow and can reduce energy costs. The filter has a low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, which is over twice the efficiency of traditional cotton-poly filters. The moisture-resistant synthetic media enhances durability, making this filter suitable for projects pursuing USGBC-LEED certification.
