The pleated air filter is designed for use in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including applications in office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, as well as healthcare settings such as doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. The filter features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the 100% synthetic media to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. Its pleated design causes heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, which improves airflow and can significantly reduce energy costs. The filter offers low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency exceeding 74% on 1-3 micron particles, which is more than twice the efficiency of traditional cotton poly filters. The moisture-resistant synthetic media makes this filter a useful component for projects aiming for USGBC-LEED certification.
