The filter media is 100% synthetic with an additional antimicrobial agent applied to prevent mold growth, achieving a MERV 11 rating. It features pleated design where heavier, more restrictive particles accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The media is moisture resistant with an initial efficiency greater than 74% for particles sized 1 to 3 microns, and an initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton-poly filters.
