It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design accumulates heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, which results in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter’s initial pressure drop is low, with an initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton poly filters, demonstrating over 74% efficiency on particles sized 1-3 microns. The media is moisture resistant and contributes toward USGBC-LEED certification projects.
