It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media with a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter has a low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton-poly filters, with over 74% efficiency on 1-3 micron particles. The media is moisture resistant synthetic material, making it suitable for indoor air quality improvements and contributing to USGBC-LEED certification points.
