The pleated air filter is designed for HVAC units in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings such as doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features 100% synthetic media with an additional antimicrobial agent applied to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration and improved airflow, which can reduce energy costs. The filter offers low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton poly filters, with moisture-resistant 100% synthetic media and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles. It is useful for projects aiming for USGBC-LEED certification points.
