The filter features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to inhibit mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media, achieving a MERV 11 rating. Its pleated design allows for the accumulation of heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, which helps maintain effective filtration by keeping the sides open longer. This design minimizes resistance, enhancing airflow and potentially reducing energy costs, while also contributing to points for USGBC-LEED certification projects. With a low initial pressure drop, the filter demonstrates over twice the initial efficiency compared to traditional cotton poly, achieving greater than 74% efficiency on 1-3 micron particles, thanks to its moisture-resistant 100% synthetic media.
