The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units for commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings including doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media with a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design accumulates heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter offers low initial pressure drop, an initial efficiency over two times greater than traditional cotton poly filters, moisture resistance, and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on particles sized 1-3 microns. It is also beneficial for projects aiming to achieve points for USGBC-LEED certification.
