The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units for commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare environments such as doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. The filter media includes an additional antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth and is made from 100% synthetic material, achieving a MERV 11 rating. Its pleated design traps heavier particles at the bottom or tips while keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter has low initial pressure drop, moisture-resistant synthetic media, and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, with performance over twice that of traditional cotton poly filters. It supports points for USGBC-LEED certification projects.
