The pleated air filter is designed for HVAC units in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare environments including doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. The filter features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media that achieves a MERV 11 rating. Its pleated design accumulates heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, with low resistance that improves airflow and can significantly reduce energy costs. The filter’s initial efficiency exceeds 74% on 1-3 micron particles, more than twice that of traditional cotton poly filters, and it has a low initial pressure drop. The moisture-resistant 100% synthetic media contributes to durability, and the filter can assist in earning points toward USGBC-LEED certification projects.
