The pleated air filter is designed to effectively remove airborne irritants from HVAC systems in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, making it suitable for applications such as offices, retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and educational facilities, as well as healthcare environments, including doctor's offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. An additional antimicrobial agent is applied to the media to prevent mold growth, while the filter employs 100% synthetic media that achieves a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows for the accumulation of heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, maintaining open sides for prolonged effective filtration. Additionally, the low resistance of the filter enhances airflow and can significantly lower energy costs. It can assist in obtaining points for USGBC-LEED certification projects. The filter boasts a low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, outperforming traditional cotton-poly filters by more than two times, while also being moisture resistant.
