The pleated design accumulates heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer to maintain effective filtration and low resistance, which improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter is moisture resistant, with a low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, over twice the initial efficiency of traditional cotton-poly filters.
