The pleated air filter is designed for HVAC units in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings including doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features 100% synthetic media with an added antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats while keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low initial pressure drop and improved airflow that can reduce energy costs. This filter has an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles and over twice the initial efficiency compared to traditional cotton-poly filters. The moisture-resistant synthetic media contributes to durability and performance and supports USGBC-LEED certification projects.
