The kit includes single-part body mechanically spliced slings featuring the Flemish eye splice, which is designed to provide an efficient use of rope capacity while being economical. The ends of the slings are secured by pressing a metal sleeve over the ends of the strands of the splice, ensuring a positive grip through swaging. The Flemish eye splice consists of the rope being separated into two parts: three adjacent strands and three adjacent strands with the core. These strands are then re-laid back in opposite directions to form the eye, with the ends secured using a swaged metal sleeve, allowing for pull to be directly along the centerline of the rope and eye.
