This EPA registered formula follows the CDC's recommendation to reduce DEET concentration in insect repellents, incorporating a newly approved formula that releases DEET in a controlled manner for longer-lasting performance without the need for high concentrations. The water-based formula is non-greasy, non-staining, low odor, and resistant to water and sweat. Bug X 30 insect repellent is available in both towelette and spray packaging, catering to various applications while maintaining compliance with skin protection programs. With 30% DEET, it provides effective protection for over 7 hours against a range of pests, including mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, fleas, gnats, red bugs, no-see-ums, sand fleas, biting flies, deer flies, stable flies, and black flies. It is particularly effective at repelling insects that may carry diseases such as West Nile virus, Zika virus, Lyme disease, human granulocytic ehrlichiosis, encephalitis, malaria, dengue fever, and spotted fever.
