This EPA registered formula follows the suggestion from the CDC to reduce the amount of DEET concentration in insect repellents. This newly approved EPA formula allows DEET to be released in a more controlled and measured manner, permitting longer-lasting performance previously achievable only with high concentrations of DEET. This new water-based formula is non-greasy, non-staining, low odor, and water and sweat resistant. Bug X 30 insect repellent includes both towelette and spray packaging options, making it versatile for various applications. It is effective for over 7 hours of protection against mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, fleas, gnats, red bugs, no-see-ums, sand fleas, biting flies, deer flies, stable flies, and black flies. Additionally, it effectively repels mosquitoes and other insects that may carry West Nile virus, Zika virus, Lyme disease, human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE), encephalitis, malaria, dengue fever, and spotted fever.
