Product Details
The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with specifications including a power rating of 1/15 HP, a speed of 19 RPM, and a gear ratio of 90:1. It supports an overhung load of 155 pounds and provides a full load torque of 100 lb-in. This gearmotor is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure and has a 31 frame size, operating on a single-phase power supply of 115V, 1PH. Designed for continuous duty in general-purpose applications, it utilizes a permanent split capacitor design rated for 115 VAC at 60 Hertz, allowing starting torques equal to running torques. The inline gearing consists of precision machined steel, incorporating a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur type gears, with lubrication provided by semi-fluid grease to minimize leakage and ensure permanent lubrication. Needle bearings on the output shafts enhance load capacities, and shafts are constructed from hardened steel. These gearmotors can be mounted at any angle, although mounting with the shaft upright and the motor below is discouraged to prevent lubricant from leaking into the motor if the shaft seal fails. It is important to note that if stalled, gearhead damage may occur, particularly with ratios of 60:1 and higher, thus provisions to limit torque are recommended. The torque values provided are the suggested full load torque values for maintaining reasonable gear life, and the overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft. The PZ series gearmotors come standard with a continuous duty "run" capacitor; however, a conduit box is not included with the motor. Model PZ gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as Bodine model D and Z gearmotors, Bison 100 gearmotors, Baldor/Boehm PSS, and many Dayton gearmotors, ensuring compatibility with Baldor and various other models.
