The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power output of 1/2 HP and operates at a speed of 91 RPM, delivering a gear ratio of 19 to 1. It has an overhung load capacity of 575 pounds and a full load torque of 336 lb-in. The motor is housed in a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure with a 48Y frame, and it operates on 115/208-230V, single phase, 60Hz, with a nameplate amperage of 8.8. This continuous duty, general-purpose gearmotor is constructed with a rugged aluminum die cast housing that provides maximum gear and bearing support while the precision machined gearing is hardened for optimal load capability. The gearing meets AGMA class 9 standards and is designed to withstand momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. Oversized output bearings enhance overhung load capacity and extend the motor's lifespan. The high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength, while the precision ground needle bearing journals offer optimal fit and finish after heat treatment. Heavy-duty industrial oil seals keep lubricant contained and contaminants out, and the gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent, heavy-duty gear oil. This gearmotor allows for versatile mounting, although shaft-up orientation with the motor below the gearhead is not recommended. The P1100 AC gearmotor maintains the same mounting dimensions as Bison 482 and many Dayton gearmotors, and it includes a conduit box. Compatibility extends to Bison model 014-482-2019 (with a Leeson motor featuring a capacitor start/induction run design) and Grainger/Dayton model 6K.
