Product Details
The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/6 HP and operates at 30 RPM, boasting a gear ratio of 58 to 1. It supports an overhung load of 330 pounds and provides a full load torque of 295 lb. in. This gearmotor comes in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure and has a 38 frame size. It operates on 115/230V, single-phase (1PH) power with nameplate amps of 2.1. The gearmotor is designed for continuous duty and general purpose applications, featuring a permanent split capacitor design that is rated for 115/230VAC, 60/50 hertz input, and has starting torques equal to the running torques. It employs precision machined steel for in-line gearing, incorporating a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur type gears, and lubrication is provided by semi-fluid grease to minimize leakage. The output shafts utilize needle bearings for high load capacities, and the shafts are made from hardened steel. These gearmotors are versatile in mounting positions, although it is advised to avoid a shaft-up position with the motor below to prevent lubricant leakage should the motor's shaft seal fail. If stalled, gearhead damage may occur, particularly in ratios of 60:1 and higher, so torque-limiting provisions are recommended. The torque values indicated are meant for reasonable gear life under full load conditions, and the overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft. All PZ series gearmotors come equipped with a continuous duty "run" capacitor, while a conduit box is not included. Furthermore, these model PZ gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as various models, including Bodine model D and Z gearmotors, Bison 100 gearmotors, Baldor/Boehm PSS, and many Dayton gearmotors.
