The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/2 HP and operates at 41 RPM, providing a gear ratio of 42 to 1. It is capable of supporting an overhung load of 650 pounds and delivers a full load torque of 700 lb. in. The motor is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure with a 48Y frame and operates on a voltage of 115/208-230V with a single-phase input at 60 Hz, drawing 8.8 name plate amps. Designed for continuous duty and efficiency type standard, this fractional horsepower AC gearmotor is well-suited for general-purpose applications and is rated for 60 Hz input. The gearbox features a rugged aluminum die-cast housing that provides optimal gear and bearing support, and the precision machined gearing is hardened for maximum load capability. All gearing is designed to AGMA class 9 standards, capable of withstanding momentary shock overloads of 200%. Enhanced overhung load capacity and longevity are ensured through oversized output bearings and a high-carbon alloy output shaft, while precision ground needle bearing journals provide maximum finish and fit. The motor includes heavy-duty industrial oil seals, which effectively retain lubricant and prevent dirt ingress. It is splash lubricated with a permanent heavy-duty gear oil and is designed for mounting at various angles, although shaft-up mounting with the motor below the gearhead is not recommended. The P1100 AC gearmotors share mounting dimensions with Bison 482 gearmotors and many Dayton gearmotors, and the kit includes a conduit box. Compatibility includes Bison model 014-482-2042, with the Leeson motor utilizing a capacitor start/induction run design, and Grainger/Dayton model 6K.
