It can handle an overhung load of 700 pounds and provides a full load torque of 1030 lb. in. The gearmotor is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure and is built on a 48Y frame, delivering 115/208-230V with a single-phase input at 60Hz, producing a nameplate amperage of 5.4. This fractional horsepower AC gearmotor is designed for continuous duty in general purpose applications and features a rugged aluminum die cast housing for enhanced gear and bearing support. The precision machined gearing is hardened for maximum load capability and meets AGMA class 9 standards, enabling it to withstand momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. Oversized output bearings enhance the overhung load capacity, contributing to a longer operational life. The high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength and rigidity, while all needle bearing journals undergo precision grinding post heat treatment for optimal finish and fit. Heavy-duty industrial oil seals keep lubricants contained while preventing dirt ingress. The gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent, heavy-duty gear oil. The gearmotor is suitable for mounting in various orientations, although it is not recommended to mount it shaft-up with the motor below the gearhead. The P1100 AC gearmotors share mounting dimensions with Bison 482 gearmotors and many Dayton gearmotors, and the kit includes a conduit box. Compatibility includes Bison model 014-482-4143, which features a Leeson motor with a capacitor start/induction run design.
