The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/3HP and operates at 18 RPM, with a gear ratio of 95 to 1. It is capable of handling an overhung load of 700 pounds and delivers a full load torque of 1089 lb. in. The unit is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure and is constructed with a 48Y frame, compatible with 208-230/460V, 3PH, 60Hz input, and has nameplate amps of 1.6, making it suitable for continuous duty applications. The gearmotor is designed for general purpose use, featuring a rugged aluminum die cast housing that provides robust support for gears and bearings. Its precision machined, hardened gearing is rated to AGMA class 9 standards, allowing it to withstand momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. The oversized output bearings enhance overhung load capacity and contribute to longer operational life. A high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength and rigidity, while precision ground needle bearing journals deliver an excellent finish and fit. Heavy-duty industrial oil seals effectively retain lubricant and prevent dirt intrusion. The gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil. These gearmotors can be mounted at any angle, though mounting shaft-up with the motor below the gearhead is not recommended. The P1100 AC gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as Bison 482 gearmotors and many Dayton gearmotors, and they also include a conduit box for electrical connections.
