Product Details
The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/15 HP and operates at a speed of 15 RPM, with a gear ratio of 114:1. It has an overhung load capacity of 407 pounds and a full load torque of 250 lb-in. This gearmotor utilizes a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and is categorized as a 38 frame motor, compatible with dual voltage input options of 115/230V and a single-phase operation with a nameplate current draw of 1 amp. Designed for continuous duty and general-purpose applications, the permanent split capacitor design allows for equal starting and running torques under 60/50 hertz input conditions. The in-line gearing comprises precision machined steel, integrating a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur type gears, with lubrication provided by semi-fluid grease to minimize leakage and ensure lasting performance. Output shafts are constructed from hardened steel and supported by needle bearings capable of withstanding high load capacities. These gearmotors facilitate mounting at any angle, although it is advised to avoid a shaft-up configuration to prevent lubricant leakage into the motor. Caution is warranted as stalling may lead to gearhead damage, particularly for gear ratios of 60:1 and higher. For optimal gear life, the listed torque values represent recommended full load conditions, with overhung load capacities measured at the shaft's center. The PZ series gearmotors come equipped with a continuous duty "run" capacitor, although a conduit box is not included. These motors have compatible mounting dimensions with Bodine model D and Z gearmotors, Bison 100 gearmotors, Baldor/Boehm PSS, and numerous Dayton gearmotors.
