The AC gearmotor features a right-angle shaft with a power rating of 1/6 HP, operating at 380 RPM with a gear ratio of 5 to 1 and an overhung load capacity of 235 pounds. It provides a full load torque of 23 lb-in and is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure. The unit is built on a 38 frame and is designed for dual voltage operation at 115/230V and 1PH, with a nameplate amp rating of 2. The worm-type right-angle gearing incorporates a hardened steel worm paired with a bronze worm wheel to ensure long life and quiet operation, featuring precision machined aluminum housings and a gearbox equipped with all ball bearings. The sealed housing and permanent lubrication with an oil bath enhance durability. The output shaft can be interchanged from left to right-hand style, and the gearmotor is suitable for continuous duty in general purpose applications. The permanent split capacitor motors are rated for 115/230 VAC at 60/50 hertz and exhibit starting torque equal to running torque. For optimized seal life, a lubrication breather is positioned for horizontal mounting, with provisions for reorientation for other mountings via a 90-degree 1/8 NPT taper pipe elbow. The gearmotor should not be mounted with the motor portion below the gearhead. Overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft and are supplied with continuous duty run capacity. Note that the conduit box is not included with the motor.
