The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/2 HP and a speed of 22 RPM, achieved through a gear ratio of 79 to 1. It supports an overhung load of 700 pounds and has a full-load torque of 1105 lb. in. The motor is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure with a 48Y frame, operating on a voltage range of 115/208-230V, 1-phase, at 60Hz, and has a nameplate current rating of 8.8 amps. This gearmotor is classified for continuous duty service with an efficiency type of standard. Designed for general-purpose applications, the gearbox is made of rugged aluminum die-cast housing for enhanced gear and bearing support, featuring precision machined gearing rated to AGMA class 9 standards capable of withstanding momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. The oversized output bearings extend overhung load capacity and lifespan, while a high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures strength and rigidity. Precision-ground needle bearing journals provide maximum finish and fit, and heavy-duty industrial oil seals prevent lubricant loss and contamination. The gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent, heavy-duty gear oil, and the gearmotor is adaptable for installation at any angle, although shaft-up mounting with the motor below the gearhead is discouraged. Additionally, the P1100 model shares the same mounting dimensions as Bison 482 and many Dayton gearmotors, and it includes a conduit box for connectivity. The gearmotor is compatible with Grainger/Dayton model 6Z403 and is equipped with a Leeson motor featuring a capacitor start/induction run design, as well as dual voltage capabilities of 115/230.
