Sloan® Optima® SMO EBV 89A-Metal is a battery powered, sensor operated retrofit conversion kit designed for exposed closet and urinal flushometers, providing ultimate sanitary protection and automatic operation without the need for AC hookups or wall alterations. The system operates via a battery powered infrared sensor that initiates the flushing cycle once the user enters its effective range and then steps away, ensuring no physical contact with the flushometer surface except for the optional override button. The kit helps control the spread of infectious diseases, features a 24 hour sentinel flush to keep fixtures fresh during nonuse, and offers significant water usage savings over traditional flushing devices while reducing maintenance and operational costs. Installation and battery replacement can be performed without shutting off the water to the valve. Key features include a low battery flashing LED indicator (with optional audio tone), an infrared sensor range adjustment screw, and a reset button. The product comes with four size C batteries and is ADA compliant.
