The Washdown DC Motor features a 1/2 HP capacity with a US56C frame and operates at 180V with a speed of 1750 RPM. Constructed with durable 300-series stainless steel exterior components, this motor is designed for longevity and reliability without any paint or coatings on the exterior. It is equipped with Viton® sealing components that provide superior chemical resistance. The motor has a full fact nameplate that is laser etched onto the frame, eliminating dirt traps from separable nameplates. End shields are O-ring sealed, and double lip shaft seals are present on both ends to prevent moisture ingress. Removable hydrophobic breathers equalize pressure while keeping moisture out. The motor minimizes exterior fasteners, reducing moisture entry points, and does not include holes for attaching a nameplate. The bearing lock screws are located inside the motor, and the conduit box mounted screws have been omitted. It includes double-sealed bearings pre-lubricated with moisture-resistant high-temperature grease to ensure extended service life. Additional protective interior coatings on the armature and frame/magnet assembly guard against corrosion, while the conduit box's mounting system enhances sealing. This motor offers linear speed and torque characteristics across the entire speed range and features armature windings that are immersed and cured in a polyester insulating varnish for added moisture-resistance. It delivers high starting torque suitable for challenging loads and meets UL listing, CSA certification, and BISSC certification for bakery applications.
