The Breakout Box and Protocol Detector is a versatile tool designed for diagnosing electrical faults and monitoring CAN bus line activity. This kit connects between the Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC) and a scan tool, enabling the detection of data and protocol communication while monitoring system voltage with both a display and high/low alarm features. It allows for connections to leads that enhance diagnosis, analysis, and monitoring capabilities, and facilitates verification of ECU activity through LED indicators at the pin-out, which signal detection and flashing lights that indicate ECU activity. The device also offers monitoring of OBDII data lines and enables probing of lines with a multimeter or oscilloscope for detailed signal analysis. Additionally, it checks and monitors battery voltage, providing a continuous numeric display or voltage readings, with an alarm warning if voltage drops below 11.6V or exceeds 15.2V.
