The VELO™ Privacy Screen Add-On for Air Louvers is designed specifically for use with the Air Louvers VSL and VLFEZ series vision frames, providing an effective solution for enhancing privacy and blocking light in both existing and new vision lites. This add-on features complete blocking of light and vision, attaching easily in seconds using hook and loop fasteners, and is designed to seamlessly blend with the existing frame. Constructed with an 18 gauge aluminum frame that has a standard mineral bronze powder coat finish, it includes a 1-1/4" x 1/4" frame with radius corners, mitered and welded, and 7/8" deep slots on both sides that prevent any light from escaping even at the edges. The spring-operated roller is housed in an aluminum casing with black plastic end caps, and a push-button latch allows for easy retraction of the shade into the roller housing. The shade itself is made from durable, 100% opaque, black, light-blocking fabric attached to a rigid pull-down bar, while the 1/2" wide adhesive-backed hook and loop fastener ensures secure mounting to the vision lite. This model is UL rated for installation on fire-rated doors and has been tested to maintain the existing door, vision lite, and glazing fire ratings for up to 90 minutes for both steel and wood doors, accommodating both temp-rise and non-temp-rise options. It fits the Air Louvers VSL, VSIG, VLFEZ, and VLFEZIG vision frames in the specified size, with additional sizes available upon request to fit other manufacturers' vision lites. Other color options and configurations for sidelites are also offered.
