The Green Stripe 2-Ply Straight Coolant Hose is specifically designed for demanding heavy-duty coolant and air applications, with approval for marine use. It features a two-ply bias fabric construction that maximizes flexibility and strength, while its advanced EPDM tube and cover provide resistance against cold water leaks, remaining soft and pliable even in adverse operating conditions. This hose exceeds SAE 20R1 Type EC standards for Class D-1 tube and cover, with a standard wall thickness. The cover is marked in one-inch increments, facilitating approximate cut lengths for custom-fit installations. Additionally, it is engineered to resist electrochemical degradation, the primary cause of hose failure, with a temperature rating ranging from 40 deg. F to +257 deg. F (-40 deg. C to +125 deg. C). For a maintenance-free connection, PowerGrip® SB clamps are recommended. Caution is advised against using this hose for fuel or oil transfer applications. It is suitable for applications including the 1990-1980 Chevrolet, B60 B6P series, and GM V-8 6.0 L by-pass systems.
