The router kit features a 2.25HP/12 amp motor with a variable speed dial ranging from 8,000 to 25,000 RPM, allowing for optimal speed matching to specific workpieces and tasks. It includes a macro and microfine bit depth adjustment system with a resettable depth indicator for fast and precise depth adjustments. The large 3-3/4" base opening and 2" subbase opening accommodate larger bits, while the exclusive precision centering design ensures that the bit remains on the intended cut line when using guidance devices such as jigs and templates. The router has a user-preferred right or left switch location, classic hardwood handles for comfort and beauty, and a one-piece armature shaft for accuracy with a long bit shank capacity. Additionally, it features a soft start to reduce start-up torque and constant response™ circuitry that maintains consistent speed under load and provides overload protection. The fixed base is designed with threaded holes for mounting to router tables in both the Bosch 4-hole pattern and a common 3-hole pattern. The double insulated power switch includes a dust-sealed design, and the RA1161 fixed-base offers a system for adjusting bit height from above the router table. An optional RA1126 quick-change template guide adapter (sold separately) is available for easy changes of Bosch RA-series template guides or threaded template guides with the optional RA1100 adapter. The kit includes a 1/4" S.R. collet chuck, a 1/2" S.R. collet chuck, a 16mm shaft wrench, a collet nut wrench, a chip shield, a 10 ft. flexible rubber cord, the fixed base RA1161, and a T-handle hex height adjustment wrench.
