This large size general-purpose drill features a three-flatted 1/2" reduced shank and is manufactured from premium cobalt high-speed steel, ensuring durability and performance. It is designed with a 118° split point for easier and more precise penetration, with a standard overall length of 6" and a flute length of 3-1/8". These standardized lengths provide increased rigidity, minimize deflection, and enhance hole accuracy, making it suitable for use in screw machines and machining centers. The three flats on the shank offer a more positive grip in the drill chuck and help to reduce drill slippage under high loads, making it ideal for portable drilling.
