They have a 118° radial point and a standard overall length of 6" with a flute length of 3-1/8", which enhances rigidity, reduces deflection, and improves hole accuracy. The standardized lengths facilitate minimal adjustments during tool changes in screw machines and machining centers, making them ideal for portable drilling due to their increased rigidity. The black oxide finish increases wear resistance and adds lubricity, improving chip flow.
