They have a 118° split point that facilitates easier and more precise penetration. With a standard overall length of 6" and a flute length of 3-1/8", these drills offer increased rigidity, less deflection, and better hole accuracy. The standardized lengths minimize adjustment during tool changes in screw machines and machining centers. The three flats on the shank provide a more positive grip in the drill chuck, reducing slippage under high loads, which is particularly beneficial for portable drilling applications.
