The SafetyFlex® flame resistant specialty PVC on polyester jacket offers robust protection while ensuring a comfortable fit, specifically designed to withstand industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics. Its full cut shoulder and 90° sleeve to body angle provide maximum freedom of movement, complemented by tapered sleeves with elastic inner cuffs for enhanced safety. The storm fly front effectively seals out wind, rain, and contaminants, while non-conductive, non-corrosive snaps and hidden hardware contribute to added protection. Features include a throat guard, a high jacket collar with hook & loop closure for splash and drip protection, and mildew resistance. The heavy exterior coating boasts excellent permeation performance, maintaining a soft, supple feel for all-day comfort in a distinctive safety green color for easy identification. The detachable hood, sold separately, attaches with snaps affixed to a collar flange, ensuring no penetration of the garment. The jacket is flame resistant, having been tested to self-extinguish with a flameout and afterglow of less than or equal to 2 seconds following removal of the ignition source, and a char length less than 6 inches as per test method ASTM D6413. It is ideal for applications in chemical handling, transport and storage, petrochemical drilling, refineries, and environmental cleanup, offering chemical resistance to numerous acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies.
