The SafetyFlex® flame-resistant specialty PVC on polyester jacket is designed for maximum protection and comfort in hazardous environments, featuring a full cut shoulder with a 90° sleeve-to-body angle for enhanced freedom of movement. The tapered sleeves include elastic inner cuffs for added safety, while the storm fly front effectively seals out wind, rain, and contaminants. The jacket incorporates non-conductive, non-corrosive snaps and hidden hardware for increased protection, alongside a throat guard and high collar with hook & loop closure to provide splash and drip protection. Its mildew-resistant exterior comes with a heavy coating that offers excellent permeation performance, all while maintaining a soft, supple feel for all-day comfort. The jacket's distinctive safety green color ensures easy identification, and detachable hoodsnaps are affixed to the collar flange without penetrating the garment, with the detachable hood available separately. The jacket has been flame-resistant tested, demonstrating self-extinguishing properties with a flameout and afterglow of less than or equal to 2 seconds after the ignition source is removed, and a char length of less than 6 inches according to test method ASTM D6413. It is ideal for applications such as chemical handling, transport and storage, petrochemical drilling, refineries, and environmental clean-up, and exhibits chemical resistance to many acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalis.
