The Blue Eclipse™ offers revolutionary TRI-HAZARD® protection, providing liquid proof, arc flash, and flash fire protection. It features patent pending Thermo-Grid® technology that blocks out heat energy, while the flame-resistant PVC coating on Nomex® ensures 100% liquid proof protection in a soft, lightweight suit. Engineered for durability, it is designed to resist industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics, making it ideal for applications in petrochemical, chemical, off-shore drilling, or any settings requiring flash fire protection. The suit exhibits chemical resistance to various acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies. It includes plain front overalls that conform to ASTM F1891 for arc thermal performance with an NFPA 70E Cat 2 arc rating of 14 cal/cm, and complies with ASTM F2733 for flash fire performance with an average predicted total burn area of less than 11.4%. All seams are Therm-O-Rad sealed for 100% liquid proof protection, eliminating needle holes that could allow chemicals to penetrate. The exterior PVC coating provides excellent chemical resistance, while the suit’s soft, supple feel ensures comfort throughout the day. Its distinctive safety blue color facilitates easy identification, and it features non-conductive, non-corrosive snaps and buckles, self-material suspenders with heavy-duty quick-release buckles and crossover, hook and loop take-up straps, ankle cuffs for adjustable fit, and mildew resistance.
