Tissue culture flasks are available in both tissue culture treated and non-treated suspension culture versions. The tissue culture treated flasks feature a uniform hydrophilic surface, which is ideal for consistent cell attachment. They are packaged in convenient zip-closure bags as a practical alternative to folding and taping open bags. The flasks have a large opening, a canted neck design, and moderate angles that facilitate easy access to the entire flask surface, making them ideal for use with cell scrapers. A stable base allows for filling while the flask is standing upright. These flasks have thick, durable walls and are printed with the lot number and expiration date for easy identification and tracking. Additionally, the molded interlocking T design improves stacking capabilities on 75, 182, and 300 cm² as well as 250, 600, and 850 ml size flasks. The vent caps include a 0.22 μM hydrophobic membrane. The 182 cm² flask offers more growth area compared to standard 175 cm² flasks, while the extra depth of the 182 cm² deep volume flask allows for increased media volume, enabling longer growth of cell cultures without the risk of drying out or depleting nutrients, making it suitable for extended culture periods.
