The kit includes multiple well plates designed for various laboratory applications featuring a tissue culture treated surface that enhances cell adhesion. Plates are clearly labeled with alpha-numeric markings for easy identification of individual wells. Each well is designed with a raised rim that fits into the rings of a single direction lid to minimize evaporation and reduce the risk of cross-contamination. The lids also feature a stacking capability for added stability when managing tall stacks of plates. The 1 well plate has the same footprint as standard multiple well plates, making it suitable for high-volume and robotic screening of DNA libraries, as well as for manual plating; it is also applicable for dot-blotting bacterial clones on 11.4 x 7.3 cm (4.5 x 2.875 in) nylon membranes. The 4 well plate offers a smaller footprint with well dimensions comparable to a 24 well plate, featuring expanded well spacing to further reduce the risk of cross-contamination. Additionally, the 384 well plates are tailored for automated applications, colorimetric assays, compound storage, or small volume applications.
