The kit includes tissue culture treated plates that enhance cell adhesion, labeled with alpha-numeric markings for easy identification of individual wells. Each well features a raised rim that fits into rings on the single direction lid, minimizing evaporation and the risk of cross-contamination. The lids incorporate a stacking feature for added stability when handling multiple plates. The 1 well plate mirrors the footprint of standard multiple well plates, making it suitable for high-volume and robotic screening of DNA libraries, as well as manual plating. It is also compatible with dot-blotting bacterial clones on 11.4 x 7.3 cm (4.5 x 2.875 in) nylon membranes. The 4 well plate provides a smaller footprint option with well sizes comparable to a 24 well plate, while offering expanded spacing to further reduce cross-contamination. The 384 well plates are designed for automated applications, colorimetric assays, compound storage, or small-volume applications.
