The Eclipse detachable hood is designed exclusively for the Eclipse jacket (item # J44241) and features revolutionary Tri-Hazard® protection, providing liquid proof, arc flash, and flash fire protection. It incorporates patent pending Thermo-Grid® technology that effectively blocks out heat energy, while its flame resistant PVC coating on Nomex® ensures 100% liquid proof protection in a lightweight design. This product is particularly suitable for applications in petrochemical, chemical, offshore drilling, or any environments requiring flash fire protection. It conforms to ASTM F1891 for arc thermal performance with an arc rating of 14 cal/cm² and complies with ASTM 2733 for flash fire performance, registering an average predicted total burn area of less than 11.4%. The exterior PVC coating offers excellent chemical resistance and the fabric has a soft, supple feel, providing all-day comfort. It features non-conductive, non-corrosive snaps for added safety.
