Hygard® CG containment grade polycarbonate sheets are engineered for specific containment levels in detention facilities, offering exceptional performance in comparison to glass or glass-clad polycarbonate products. In the event of an attack, these laminates do not "spider web" or spall, ensuring complete visibility, which is crucial for effective response from control and corrections officers. The Hygard® CG375 is a 0.375" thick, 2-ply security glazing laminate that complies with ASTM F 1915 and HP White TP 0500. It maintains its integrity under repeated high force impacts, preventing spalling and white-out, thus enhancing the visibility of potential threats. The Hygard® CG500 is a 0.500" thick, 3-ply laminate that meets ASTM F 1233 Class II and HP White TP 0500 level A ballistics (.38 Special), single shot, also resisting spalling and white-out after high force and ballistic impacts. Finally, the Hygard® CG750, the highest level of protection, is a 0.750" thick, 3-ply laminate that meets ASTM F 1233 Class III and HP White standards. All Hygard products utilize Makrolon® polycarbonate sheets for high optical quality and feature a proprietary Makrolon AR hardcoat on exterior surfaces that resists marring, chemical attack, and graffiti, while facilitating easy cleaning.
