The oil-filled nylon is available in a natural color specifically designed for food contact applications. Its absence of pigment allows this material to comply with FDA regulations 21 CFR, Sec. 177.15 and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17, making it suitable for direct contact with food. Typical applications include FDA compliant bearings and bushings that serve as replacements for stainless steel in food processing environments such as bottling, canning, and packing, as well as friction and wear parts like gears, sprockets, and other rotational components.
