The forged hoist hooks are quenched and tempered to ensure maximum strength without excessive weight and bulk, featuring swivel hooks that are load rated for safety. The low profile hook tip is designed for compatibility with the Crosby S-4320 or PL-N latch kit, and latch assemblies can be added even years after the initial purchase. Each hoist hook incorporates markings forged into the product, including two deformation indicators placed strategically—one just below the shank and another on the hook tip for Quic-Check® measurement, which helps determine potential abuse or overload by assessing throat opening changes. Additionally, angle indicators denote the maximum allowed included angle between two sling legs and provide guidance for approximating other angles. The hooks have type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and the ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request at the time of order, which may incur additional charges.
