The most complete line of eye hoist hooks is available in carbon steel and alloy steel, designed with a 5:1 design factor for carbon steel and a 4.5:1 design factor for 30T - 60T alloy steel. These eye hooks are load rated, featuring a proper design, careful forging, and precision-controlled quenching and tempering that provide maximum strength without excessive weight and bulk. Each Crosby eye hook is equipped with a latch, and latch assemblies can be added even years after the original hook is purchased. Chemical analysis and tensile tests are performed on each PIC to verify chemistry and mechanical properties. Type approval certification is available in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel and the Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates obtainable upon request at the time of order, potentially including additional charges. The hooks meet ASME B30.10 standards and incorporate two types of strategically placed markings forged into the product, addressing two Quic-Check® features: deformation indicators and angle indicators.
