Each base of the Crosby wire rope clips features a product identification code (PIC) for material traceability, along with the name Crosby or CG, and a size forged into it. Designed based on the catalog breaking strength of wire rope, these clips have an efficiency rating of 80% for sizes 1/8" - 7/8" and 90% for sizes 1" through 3-1/2". The entire clip is galvanized to resist corrosive and rusting action, while sizes 1/8" through 2-1/2" and 3" come with forged bases. All clips are individually bagged or tagged with proper application instructions and warning information, and clip sizes up to 1-1/2" feature rolled threads. These clips meet or exceed all requirements of ASME B30.26, including identification, ductility, design factor, proof load, and temperature requirements. Additionally, they satisfy critical performance criteria such as fatigue life, impact properties, and material traceability beyond ASME B30.26 standards. The Red-U-Bolt® designation serves as assurance of genuine Crosby clips.
